FTP and EMail Setting

Mail:
This server uses mail authentication on the SMTP.
( It does not use encryption )

The SMTP will use the Default port 25.

If the your ISP blocks port 25, you can use port 40000 to replace port 25.
The system can also use IMAP for email.

 

The SMTP and POP3 setting are mail.yourwebsite.name

login: it you user login name (not the full email)

Password: We hope you know that..

 

FTP:

The server is ftp.(your site name)
The FTP server requires Active Mode.

Some times the IP will connect better than using ftp.sitename.
If you do use the IP, remember it can change at times. So recheck if you have problems. 

 

Database Passwords:
The server will change the database password to match you site password.
If you are running a CMS and you change passwords. and the CMS breaks, check the configure file of the program you running to be sure they match.
